What tremolo am I looking for?

I have went through a fair bit.. Had a TC Nova Modulator, Demeter Tremulator, Tone Freak MelloTremo, and now I've got a Semaphore (little box).

- It must have a triangle shape mode
- Tap tempo
- Footswitches shouldn't be way loud (at least not the tap tempo)
- Shouldn't distort on its own (both the MelloTremo and the Semaphore seems to be a bit sensitive in terms of the input signal)
- I have no use for stereo, so that's not a big deal
- Not too big (like the Supa) or too expensive (Goatkeeper).

Thanks!

I'd say the Diamond, but it doesn't have a triangle wave.

Maybe the Suhr Jack Rabbit?

If you're using the tap often, the Diamond is hard to beat and fits everything you describe.

The Jackrabbit is what I have on my board currently - small footprint, great tone and headroom. It also has a tap function, but it requires you hold the footswitch down for two seconds to engage, which works well.

The Tap Tempo Semaphore has everything you need. If you run it at 12 or 18v, it shouldn't distort.

Yeah, I was thinking about the Diamond (afraid the shark is not quite what I'm looking for) or the TT Semaphore (seems to be very few reviewers on this compared to the others).

Empress and Diamond (diamond has "sharktooth" with is triangle wave).

Nope. It's an asymmetrical sine wave. Smoother and less pronounced than an actual sawtooth/triangle wave. ;)

V. Picky, but I get quite pedantic with the wave shapes I look for in a trem.

Forgot about the TT Semaphore. I guess it'll be tonally identical to the original.

Ah! Fair enough. Good to know. :)

The Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter is the one you're after. For around $100 used. Has different wave shape, depth, tap subdivisions. Sounds awesome.
