Mostly interested in 6L6's, but for those of you who have purchased new amps, what brand of tubes were installed at the factory?

    It varies by manufacturer.

Yup, I know that, I was looking for a survey. I have a VVT X-40 on the way and apparantly it has JJ preamp and TAD 6L6WGC power tubes. Got a Tweaker 15 a little bit ago and it had EH pre's and Ruby 6V6.

Seems most manufacturers are going with JJ's. Great tubes, but I have been more pleased with the consistency of Ruby's.

Most new Fender amps still come with Groove Tubes which are trash. Some are using J.J/Ruby. Mesa uses "Mesa" tubes which are actually some other manufacturer's stuff.

Higher end amps will use good Tung-Sol/Sovtek, or maybe even a few NOS tubes here and there.
