I've been through a few vibes but the search still continues. My favorite has been my older, white, big-box Fulltone Deja Vibe but the size and specific supply make it pedalboard unfriendly. I've got an Aquavibe that I've never really bonded with and will probably sell to fund a different vibe.

I'm looking for a throbbing, swirly, chewy, gooey vibe. What else should I look at?

Classic amplification vibe baby (traditional univibe)
Effectrode tube vibe (not a strict clone, a bit thicker and chewier to my ear)

Just don't ask TGP which univibe is best (you have been forewarned...)

    Lovepedal Vibronaut.

It needed some heavy tweaking on the internal trimpots for me while it worked well for others right out of the box

Its too late, he already did.... :fisticuffs

I have an Aquavibe, EQD The Depths, a Skreddy Swirl, and an MJM Sixties Vibe. They are all good, but by far my favorite is the Sixties Vibe. Very authentic - very deep on the throb, great sounding vibe.

My favorite is the EQD The Depths. But be warned, it's not exactly an emulation of the classic rock vibe sound that most people are after. It has its own "vibe" happening, but for me, I wanted something left of ordinary, and it definitely delivers on that.

I'll throw in a plug for the Ultra Vibe II. Ended my search.

I haven't tried them all by a long shot but when I plugged in my KR Mega Vibe my search was over.

Another thing to consider is your guitar and amp. Different pickups have a significant effect on the effect. For me, using low output single coils to high output humbuckers into solid state and tube amps, the AquaVibe is better than the Effectrode and Fulltone vibes.
