My only Wampler is the Dracarys. I’m considering the Euphoria. What Wamplers do you especially like?
I got the Euphoria when it was called the Ecstasy, and I love it
Just got the Euphoria, great for a solo boost on my Dirty Shirley 40
Like it better than the Tumnus Deluxe
Tweed '57 by far my favorite of those I have tried. Didn't really bond with any of the others, although that is just personal preference. Obviously Wampler makes quality pedals.
Tumnus, mini Ego, Plexi drive
+1 for the Euphoria. It crunches, it soars, it sings. Great range of options.
I loved the Tumnus Deluxe and the Black '65 OD for a while, but other drives have since replaced them. The only other Wampler I have ever purchased was the Tweed '57 and I did not like that at all.
I had that 2 button Pinnacle a lonmg time ago when I went through my EVH brown sound phase. No I cannot play like Eddie but it did sound great. Wish I still had it.
Super-plextortion and Ethereal. Both good pedals.
Another Euphoria vote! It stacks really well. Great boost. My only gripe is that if I want to use another setting than "open" mode, there are drastic volume differences so, no quick changes on settings during a show. I have to say I use open mode almost exclusively.
I thought Id love smooth mode but it doesnt sound any better than my sd1.
I tried a tumnus and returned it. It was fine I just like the euphoria better for low gain.
Ones that I've been fond of.
Euphoria was pretty sweet as well.
I own two Wamplers and they are the two that seem to have the most hit or miss reactions
I LOVE my Tweed 57. I really like my SLOstortion as well, but I need to be in the mood.
The Tweed 57 is an extremely dynamic pedal that covers a huge amount of classic rock tones. The SLOstortion is hair metal on one setting and does a really good smooth Govt Mule thing on the other. To a point. The SLOstortion is Wamplers most misunderstood pedals.
In my opinion Wampler does fantastic Amp in a Box pedals. He captures the full chain. His Velvet Fuzz for example isn’t just a fuzz, it is the sound of a fuzz through a cooking Marshall. All in one. He does that kind of thing very, very well.
+1 for the Tummnus Deluxe. A clean amp with that pedal can give you some pretty cool tones.
Black '65: Great for making a clean amp sound like it's working a bit. Takes pedals well.
Tweed '57: Lot of Tweed flavors. My raunchy drive of choice.
If you like Amp in a Box Pedals, Wamplers are great. I love the Pinnacle and Ego. I really like the Thirty Something, Triple Wreck and Plexidrive Deluxe. The Pantheon and Clarksdale are cool versions of their respective circuits.
I need to try the Tumnus and Euphoria.
Tumnus is my gold horsie Klon ... same pedal ... I am stunned, same frequency response and graphic numbers on my DAW, it really is a clone !
agreed on the Tumnus and. If I’m the only one that can say that I love the Pantheon then I’m happy to do so.
Euphoria is my base tone for my SRV/Blues DeVille rig. An 'always on' pedal for 8 years. Paisley is a monster w my tele, and stack the 2, you've got the foundation of another Wampler, the Dual Fusion. Paisley>Euphoria for strat, Euphoria>Paisley for tele is how I I run them together.
I have Velvet, Ego & Tumnus. Loving Tumnus the most
