I've been reading a lot about the WCR Pickups and so far I haven't seen comments from anyone with them on a Driskill. The Goodwoods for the bridge and the Darkburst or a Crossroads for the neck would most likely be the set that I get for my LP Classic. Being the Driskill will have a 5-way switch for single coil from a Humbucker, plus the difference in the guitars, I wanted to get some opinions. Thanks,
I think that sounds like a good combo. Driskills can be bright guitars due to the the thick maple top and neck construction (carbon fiber/stainless steel frets). You'd probably want a thick sounding humbucker for the bridge and something smooth for the neck (which I think that combo could do in spades). Darkburst would be a great neck pickup as well.
I got a darkburst/crossroads combo for mine. Alas, it'll be a while before I can give you a tone report.
How long ago did you order yours? I'm currently at 18 months. I must admit the time has flown by. All the best, Yossi
At least you can use the guitfiddle as a fridge mag. Not recommended for anyone with a steel plate in their dome.
