I did not see the announcement of v2 returning after the v3 release. That certainly changes I researched speculation.

The real question- what does this all have to do with the 2016 Tim?

When the economy starts to show signs of failure it’s never in the high end. People with real money don’t suffer in economic downturns. It’s middle class that suffers the most.

Not much will change with used Timmy prices but I wonder how Jan Ray prices will fair.

I hope these insane resale prices will drop. It's a simple circuit and I priced it on what my parts and labor cost along with a dealer markup. I never priced it on hype or claims of 3 years of r&d. It's so simple, and I based it on a weekend of design and a few gigs to dial in.

I don’t own any of your pedals but your post makes me want to.

These are trivial changes in the V.3. Why should it affect anything at all? If it causes a difference in price between old and new, just buy what is cheaper. They are virtually the same.

Thanks. Just like Josh at Snouse- you guys are firmly rooted in reality. Sad to say not all of your “customers” are real world musicians. Many of them are delusional opportunists.

It was just a few months ago Timmy's were a $115-$125ish, I had less than $200 into a TIM?

Don't know, don't care, not selling my V2's. I love the sound, looks and controls.

I’ve owned both multiple times and had them side by side. The earliest breadboard versions sound vastly better to me...you be the judge :stir

I’ve never owned a V1, so I can only sit on the sideline and jeer at the prices. There are no mojo/secret components, and the only difference (beside the DIPs that became the toggle) that I’m aware of is the pot tapers on the earlier versions. I believe they were the same values but a different sweep. This could lead to the earliers sounding “better”.

Then again, I’d expect someone with a V1 to say it’s the best. I need an independent consulting firm to perform a double blind shootout, complete with an input signal generator and oscilloscope readings to be convinced. :D

Nah, they’re built differently but that’s beside the point. Go try them side by side if you want and report back...I tried them at every conceivable setting in attempts to get them to sound the same, but they still sounded very different. I love how people who haven’t tried things themselves are so quick to make a determination

My post was mostly facetious, but go ahead a roll those eyes. I have no interest in a Timmy shootout. It’s just not for me. As for my “trying to make a determination”, I’m only referring to what Paul himself has said.

Sorry I’m not part of the elitist V1 club, but I’m so glad it’s not against the TGP bylaws to talk about it!

I’m no elitist, I’m telling you my findings from the shootouts I conducted. Carry on, I have no vested interest here...
