No. It's an open(book) and shut case.

Does anyone think that there's not a single master builder at Fender who couldn't make you a spot-on 59 LP clone? Come on.

I’m thinking that most older members who took up the instrument on a whim after age 40 and are completely self-taught would welcome something ergonomic, like a double-cutaway for access, and a huge relief for gargantuan beer guts.

Too bad Fender has never thought of this. o_O

I think that the Master Builders at Fender are very good at many things...but I don't think all of them could do this. Some...yes....All...No...

    Fender Thorn La Paloma. Want!

Been thinking of building something along these lines. Wraptail Tele style, bucker bridge but with a p90 in the neck. The archtop here is just icing on the cake.

To the OPs Q: Not gonna happen.:bonk

Huh. Well this thread pretty much settes it for me. I don't like mash-ups of any kind.

Same here... I'd just put two humbuckers in a Strat or coil-tap a Les Paul if I wanted one to do the other.

Pretty much. Seems more for looks than anything else. My philosophy on pretty much everything is, if it's already been done once why even bother? Stuff like this just seems desperate for ideas IMHO.
