what year is my princeton reverb?

    i bought it as a '66.
    here are the transformer code #'s
    125P1B 606-5-42
    125A10B 606-5-39
    125A20B 606-5-39

    AA764

    i did a little research (google) and from what ive found, this is a '65
    is that true?

    What's the date code on the tube chart?? Have you dated the pots inside the amp?? Tube charts seem to be most acurate as thats one of the last things they did on the assembly of an amp. Some parts may date earlier than actual construction of the unit.

    I have a '68 and that year they forgot to put the date code on the tube chart. My transformers are from '67, so following this analogy, there is a good chance that your amp is in fact, a '66.

    That's the circuit #. The date code is simply a 2 letter stamp, ie: MJ or something like that. It's hand stamped on the tube chart.

    Also, if your inclined to open it up, there's usually a date stamp on the inside of the chassis as well w/ the year on it. However, I'm not sure if this corresponds exactly w/ the tube chart stamp.

    Does it say "Fender Electric..." or "Fender Musical..." on the face?

    Electric = 65 Musical = 66

    according to a website ive found, its a '65
    i bought it as a '66 from a vintage dealer, action music in arlington, va.
