Interesting, do you have any links or is there any other thread where i can learn more?
More or less but the deluxe was released and there was one demo video where he teased the Pre and mentioned final tweaks so technically that may have been the last one.
As discussed around here, CB also mentioned final tweaks well after his final tweaks and it’s unclear whether any of Howard’s design was changed at all.
There is a lot to read through, but search "Catalinbread" threads from the past 6 months or so. Sorry I don't remember which specifically. There are some people in this thread that could get into details, but I doubt they will.
No problem, your tip was simple(the first thing i should have done, actually), yet it got me onto the right direction(along with tip from another user via pm). Cheers!
Wow, 4 videos with over 1 minute content in total!
They will probably be gone in a few minutes
... sad what became of CB post Howard
What in the actual **** are these people thinking?
They had some of the best demo vids on the internet and now it’s complete diarrhea.
This is like going from watching tiger woods win the masters to watching what happened after he had to give up the booty.
It’s pretty mind warping that those are the demo videos for a 300.00 pedal...I thought the first one they made was an April fools joke, but thats not the case...
Makes perfect sense to put a preamp after an amp in a box and reverb....
Now THAT is funny
Yeah it’s kinda like seeing someone accidentally whack himself in the balls with a hammer
It really seems like they are trying to get it to market to capitalize on the fact that there is a guaranteed customer base for it, the people who were waiting for Howard to finish it up before the upheaval that occurred at the company.
It is also becoming more difficult to reject the notion that it seems like no one remaining at Catalinbread has any idea what the pedal is and what it is supposed to do.
What is the purpose of these 15 second videos? Does anyone feel they are demonstrating what their titles suggest, let alone anything conclusive or meaningful at all? Why would anyone demonstrate the ‘tight headroom’ of a device by feeding it a signal already drenched in distortion and reverb?
What seems very sad to me is that anyone there could casually peruse Howard’s old videos for an hour and at least come away with an understanding of the pedal, but by all apparent evidence that hasn’t and likely won’t happen.
Just think about the fact that Howard put out several videos demonstrating the pedal in use, yet after he was let go the powers that be at CBread came back and said that the pedal didn’t work and an outside party had to be brought in to ‘fix’ it.
agreed. i could barely tell the difference between off/on and early/later voicing on any of the clip.
My grandmother has a better handle on her iPad than any of their staff has on that pedal.
Or what a pedal is in general...
"It's a boost pedal, so you know, pretty basic."
They must know about what people are thinking/saying in threads like this. They made a post on facebook the other day that showed up in my feed basically saying that they have new people working there; they realize things are a bit rocky, and they are dedicated to getting things sorted out.
