What's a 1968 Black Face Bandmaster worth?

Hey everybody,

I'm just curious if anyone knows what a 1968 all original (minus old tubes) black face Fender Bandmaster is worth? I'm looking at picking one up and I don't want to over pay.

Are you sure about the date? If yours is all original and blackface, it is most likely a '67 or earlier model. I have both a 67 and 68 Bandmaster, and the 67 is BF whereas the 68 has drip-edge SF cosmetics.

FWIW, I paid $225 for my '68 (good condition) and $375 for my BF '67 (dead mint) about 5 years ago.

I can't say 100% sure, but in the pictures it's blackface, and is vintage, but I haven't asked the guy for serial numbers on the transformers or other parts, thanks for the info.

right I have a 68 band master that dates to march 1968 I believe, it has the drip edge and the black face circuit. I paid $275 for it.

I purchased a 68/69 Silverface Drip Edge head only off e bay last summer for $600.00 I probably paid a little too much for it at that time.
