Anyone have a VG price guide they can check for me? I would greatly appreciate it. :)

They're listed at 4200$ (Exc), 5000$ (Exc+) and 6000$ (Mint) in the Blue Book. Vintage guide lists them according to various colors too, some are rarer than others. Hope this helps.

Thread moved. Does not belong in the Sound Hound Lounge. Carry on.

Whoops, sorry about that! And thanks Steve! Can you tell me what colors were offered that year? This one appears to have been opaque white before it yellowed. Does that make it Arctic White, Olympic White, or something different?

There are almost 20 colors listed for 1970, but close to what you're saying, it sounds like it would have to be olympic white (5700$-7500$). The next closest, I guess, would be blond (4200$-6500$).

The easy way to tell the difference between blonde and olympic white is that blonde is mildly transparent, so you can (sometimes barely) see the woodgrain, while OW is totally opaque.

Without seeing it I can still pretty accuratly tell you that it's not white. You will probably find it is the basic blonde model. I have had several from this era. They put the finish on so heavy it is usually virtually impossible to see any grain. You do frequently see people on ebay trying to pass them off as a custom Oly. white when in fact they are blonde.

    Sounds like a great guitar.
