Play a 412 Savage cab with v-30's. I want to do the x pattern thing. Any suggestions for a good ole rock tone. By the way I like the v-30's in this cab. But I don't need 4 of them.

    Thank you in advance.

    G12H30's or the Scumback equivalents.

G12H30 is on the list. But there are so many to choose from.

EV came out with a new speaker that is supposed to be pretty good. Anyone know which one that is?

I've wondered about this myself - I have a 4 X 12 with Warehouse Guitar V30 clones. I've thought about trying 2 Eminence Wizards with them, but money is tight right now and I have a number of other things that take priority.

Scumback H75s (G12H30 equivalent), or H55s if you're playing singles.

Wow. Thought there would be more variety to the list. The G12H-30/v-30 combination has been popular for quite some time now. Surely someone has used this combo, and moved on to something they like even better? But, maybe not.

I suggest pairing the v30 with a garbage can.

If you are lacking any in the low end get G12H's, if not the G12M GB is the ticket, that woody chunky midrange is sweet.

    I use a Tone Tubby 40/40 & G12M GB in my 2x12, nice big full sound, the TT is like 2/3 V-30 & 1/3 G12H.

I think you'd really like that. Great combination, they compliment each other really well.

    Classic Lead 80.
Ive got the two mixed in a Avatar vintage 2x12 and they sound great together.
I also have the two paired in a Fender HRDVL.
    Just a great sounding combo.
Ive also Paired the GH-30 anniversary w/ the Vin 30 but prefer the
    CL80.

I liked the G12-65 also with the G12H-30. To my ears the G12-65 and V30 are both mid oriented speakers. The G12H-30 seems to compliment either better. The 65 with a V30 was too mid heavy for my tastes. bob

I have the same concern. I don't need more mids.(May the Lord not strike me dead for saying so.)

    Try the G12H-100 or G12K-100.

    Never liked the G12h30's.
Greenbacks work pretty well but the best combination is the Mesa/Boogie MC90 which is a vented Celestion Classic Lead 80.
