I'm looking for a good powered wedge to go with my Mackie SRM450's and was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation. I've seem them from $200 to $1,000. It's for an acoustic duo with a looper. Sound needs to be decent.

Thx.

I prefer the QSC K10's over the K8's as floor stage monitors, because they have one side cut away that allows them to point up. The K8's don't aim upwards very well, they just sorta shoot at your feet.

Agreed - QSC K10 is what I use. Really like it, tried the K12 but they are too big for a floor monitor.

EV SxA250. We use these at our concert hall in the breakout rooms and as spares when we run out of Clair brothers 12AM's. You can get them good and loud without feedback.

Now, can it compair to a Clair 12AM ? Of course not! But for the money, they have proven themselves to be good enough to use in the main hall
when we're in a pinch, and that's really saying something.

If you're looking for good bang-for-the-buck, check out Mackie Thumps. We've got two on the floor as monitors and they sound very clear and can push alot of air when needed.

They sell for about $320.
