What's a pedal that you wish they took a step further?

I think this could be a cool idea pool and/or place to find suggestions for different pedals to try.

Discuss a pedal that you love, but it is missing one or two features that would make it perfect for you. For instance:

I love the Catalinbread Echorec. It has a very unique delay sound that I find extremely pleasant. So much so that if I could get one with tap tempo and a couple of presets it would be my main delay.

The other one that comes to mind for me is the Analog.man ARDX20 with Amazeo. It's awesome, but I wish I could edit the 8 presets and tap their tempo on the fly. If I could, I'd ditch my timeline for it.

Treble boosters. For modern use, they need the option of a high-shelf low-pass filter leading to either a total bypass or a parallel mix circuit. It allows you to keep the low-mid and bass frequencies of your tone intact while goosing the mids, high-mids, or highs (wherever the resonant peak for your unit is) to your heart's content. For solos, this results in being able to keep the clarity in the bass notes while boosting the gain, sustain, and harmonic content of the high notes. I felt strongly enough about it that I now build my own with this option unless specifically asked not to.

    Lovepedal Les Lius.

I wish it had a tone knob. The guitar’s tone knob just doesn’t do the same thing as it changes the attack.

For me, it is the Strymon Flint. I so wish that you could get infinite repeats if you held down the reverb on/off switch, just like you can on the Brigadier. And the El Cap. And the Timeline. And the Big Sky! The Flint is already just about perfect for me, but having onboard infinite repeats would push it way over the top.

The Eventide TimeFactor: needs more delay and loop time.

Most digital delays: need more loop time and footswitchable repeat hold.

    Every looper: needs more features.

I would like it if the EQD Dispatch Master had an Expression pedal input for the mix.

I like the breakup but I wish it had EQ controls of some sort ...Tone, Tilt, etc.

The empress tremolo has an expression jack but it only lets you switch through presets, which I still can't figure out how to do. Wish it'd let me adjust the speed instead and switching through presets by tapping the pedal is easy enough

Wampler Faux Tape Echo. Buffered bypass and maybe subdivisions. But buffered bypass at the very least.

Free the tone flight time - stereo, panning

    H9 pre/post

Big sky - tremolo on the spring reverb algorithm like the space has

Diamond memory lane jr, Quantum leap and counterpoint - give us one pedal with all the delays from these pedals.

Strymon timeline - include all the functions of the el cap. Eliminate the double foot stomp to move banks, make another algorithm that does 2290 style digital delay.
