There were posts a while back about this amp from NAMM. Sounded like the cat's meow. The Bogner site has a bunch of sound bytes and it sounds pretty great to me.

Does anyone have a Duende? Are they still in prototype form or are they available? Kind of hard to tell on the website.

    I don't think they've started shipping yet.

Oh yes! The Duende has the signature Bogner sound but a different beast altogether. I loved it when I played it. Had Greg V demo it for a bit and then he left me alone. Two hours later I surfaced and told Jorg that I must have one. Awesome amp. Not a lot of clean headroom(use v knob on guitar) but an amp that oozes vibe . Great Trem and Verb and a very punchy authoritative crunch and singing lead tone. I loved it. Mine will arrive soon I hope.

seems to have been alot of hype to begin with, but have to admit the sound clips are very impressive. You would think that there would be more info on the bogner website not even a picture of the elusive little amp!I sure would be looking into it more if some info was available.

I already love it! Proud Shiva owner and hopefully future Duende owner. Does anyone know how much the head or combo will cost?? Thanks in advance!

Ok...here's the 411...just got off the line with Sean from Bogner (they are all so very cool to talk to!) and he gave me some really great information on the Duende:

    Head price - $2,239

    1x12 combo price - $2,469 (loaded stock w/G12H)

Estimated Ship will be August, as Fred stated above.

'Hope that helps, I am pumped. =)

I've wanted a Shiva for a long time. At 60/80 watts these are VERY loud amps. I wish Bogner would make a 30 watter.

On the Duende; strictly going by the clips on the website, I don't like it. A bit of a dissapointment for me. YMMV.

The Shiva is very cool. Very good master volume that is really useful.

I think the Duende will be a love or hate thing with most people. It's that 6v6 sound. I have an old Gibson Explorer tweed with 6v6's in it; kind of just rediscovered it. A bit bouncy/spongy on the low end, but to me everything is there! =)

    Regards,

    Brandon

  I've been patiently waiting since Jan, they must have had a major glitch and had to rework something.

That is a bummer but hold on it should be worth the wait. :)

From what I understand they are still actually waiting for all of the parts they need to get them completely built. I am going to try and order one from my local bogner dealer. The combo is only a couple hundred more, so to me that is a no-brainer. ;)

    Regards,

    Brandon

and it does. that's why i ordered them. i've had at least one example of every amp that reinhold has made since bogner first started. for my $$$/time/needs, reinhold, stevie fryette and bruce egnater have me covered. the duende is a bit of a departure for renhold and i know it will rock. if it's working for greg v, i'll be just fine.
