What's the current order situation: SOB Strings?

Hello all,

I have been trying a number of strings but after each set - even good ones, nickel et al, I pine over the SOB Strings that I had once dared to buy - they were so DEFINITE!

Anyway, so what's the scoop?
have they started to be trustworthy in terms of getting them?

as of today, January 11th 2010, are they coming through?

From what I've heard he's definitely NOT out of business.

There have been a number of threads from people that have ordered and receiving SOS strings.
Looks like people are contacting him directly through his email. Good news. The website is back up. But, given the history, I would email him and confirm the sets you need are in stock before sending payment.

No...not out of business at all. In fact actually busy.
I just had Dean select a particular mismatched gauge set for me from my normal STMB+'s

Lot's of "definitely's" in the thread above. The only definitely I can give you is that I went to the site www.sobstrings.net, and it definitely did not take me to their site. It took me to a "domain for sale" re-direct type site.

www.zepman.net claims to have them in stock...never done business with them...

Interesting. The site was up earlier yesterday. He's certainly had his issues. Still, I would happily order by email, but only after verifying he had the sets on hand.
