Whats the deal with desiring specific stompbox graphics?

I've lost a couple of local deals due to the graphics on my pedals. I understand when it comes to versions, but when the images have no bearing on sound?

Is it wrong for me to think people need to stop focusing on this?
I get the whole 'to each there own' argument, but in this case it is affecting me. I'm trying to satisfy my GAS, and I'm losing deals 'cause my pedals don't have zombies on them.

Further, when someone focuses on

nope sorry. People care about everything including looks. I personally care about what a pedal looks like. I do. Sound is very important but if the pedal looks like **** well.. its not as inspiring.

ha ha. selling a dr scientist pedal? cosmic chorus maybe? the old ones all have so many unique/distinct finishes, people will be picky, but if you go to ILF, then you might have better luck. :)

That's too big a generalization. Not all people care about looks. I certainly don't. I had a beat-to-**** 1981 Rat that I miss like crazy among other pedals.

The sounds and dynamics inspire me.

Not sure what ILF is, but I'd try it.

I don't want to argue semantics, but I suppose deals just 'fell through' I didn't lose them. Just in case, however, nothing actually fell and I didn't actually lose anything.

Barbie dolls, Matchbox and Hotwheel cars, and action figures for grown men.

And not a damn thing wrong with that. :D
