I've debated getting a pod HD x pro, but I have the old HD desktop. Is there any major difference aside from the enclosures?

The POD X has more processing power than the vanilla HD. All that means is you have less of a chance of hitting the DSP limit with the X.

If you haven't been banging up against the DSP limit wit your current rig, then I would not do it.

I think otherwise they are sonically indistinguishable.

Doesn't the Pro have MIDI and is rack mountable? Any of the inputs and outputs different? I think there's more to the Pro over the desktop including it isn't discontinued.

My thought is to either keep the Pod I have and get an 11r with Protools or sell/trade my desktop and get a Pod Pro X. Thoughts?
