This, exactly! I also use it set very mildly (with literally no "sustain") - just enough attack to smooth everything. I find it encourages me play more evenly so you avoid the points where it obviously kicks in. If that makes sense.

    Alexander Quadrant Delay.
    A brilliant little delay pedal.
Does exactly what I want and is so well thought out.
    It isn't going anywhere.

I don't really have one . . . provided I can get a good TS sound and some good analog-ish delay, basic tremolo and detune, all into an amp that is breaking up, I'm happy. I do carry a Hotcake, and if I can't get the amp loud enough to get going, I use the hotcake for a little bit of gain/break up on the way in.

For me it's this ^. I replaced literally every other pedal on my board over the past two weeks. Only the wah survived the cull.

Timeline has been my longest pedal to date. I bought one when they first came out.
Recently added a Simplifier to my board, so I changed to the 4CM with my Timeline and Ventris.
I've had time to explore settings on the TL.. its a keeper for me.
My Turbo Tuner and Sarno Earth Drive gets love, too.

Tone City Model M, $50 used, competes with my $150 el rey dorado. I would not say either is better or worse...but the tone city brings more for your dollar.

DMMTT 1100. I’m big on delay, but particularly this one. Bought it NOS from
CME 6 years ago (with pano chips). It’s everything I’ve ever wanted a delay to be. Perhaps it’s because I’m so used to it now, but everything else seems to pale in comparison. This into a dirty Matchless with some PAF style humbuckers in a Les Paul is THE tone for me.

I always have a delay pedal of some sort on my board--but other than a tuner, it's my MXR CAE Boost Line Driver pedal for making solos or other parts I want to stand out louder. It's been on my board since I discovered them shortly after they were released when I heard it was a better version of the MXR Micro Amp--which I thought was good.
