Can anyone who has one or played one shed some light?
Extremely scooped and compressed. Like a muff but with further scooped mids and a more broken character.
Real sputtery and gainy. I really like a more traditional big muff a lot more. The SP is so scooped that you cant use it and regular sounds during the same playing session because regular sounds will just become woofy and boomy. It is a fine sounding pedal but the effect on your brain will make all your other gear sound ******.
yeah, I owned one and it was so scooped that it was entirely unusable within a band setting because it just becomes mud, it totally disappears in the mix.
I've really liked the two that I've played of the original variety. No idea if the reissue sounds similar. I'd be using it as a lead boost type thing if I were to use it.
