What’s “wrong” with my 1998 Historic R8?

Not sure what you're after but, TRC location isn't correct. That's the way Gibson built them in 98. Stop tail patina doesn't match :dunno

'98s have a different horn shape, pickup spacing, knob position and a bunch of other things that aren't, technically, wrong. But, again, I think it's a trap!

Nope. But it is 1998 model year specific.
I have a feeling this is a trick question. :) But, do I see jumbo frets?
kind of a trick question. Yes it does have jumbo frets. That’s not it though as it has been refretted.
Like it's a USA Standard...traditional....
it’s a 1998 R8 I bought new. I recently added something that corrects an issue with the 1998 year R8.
