Anything tweed is good, but my all-time fav was a blonde showman through a vintage marshall cab with a Les Paul and klon to boost it up. Wow!!! What a rock tone!!! :D

I currently own all original 1965 Deluxe Reverb, Pro Peverb and Twin reverb. Man, it's hard to choose because they sound great. I also like the old tweed Deluxe.

MY '68 Bassman head and '78 Deluxe reverb of course.:D The '65 Vibrochamp I lent to a former band mate and junkie was pretty cool last time I saw it - 10 years ago.

I've played pretty much everything Fender made in the tweed, blonde and BF eras.

Here's a list of only what I've owned:

    Tweeds:

    '51 TV-front Deluxe
    '52 Super
    '55 Champ
    '58 Deluxe
    Bandmaster (repro)
    Bassman (repro)
    High-Power Twin (repro)

    Blondes/browns:

    '61 Super
    '60 Twin

    Blackfaces:

    Super Reverb (2)
    Vibrolux Reverb
    Bassman
    Twin
    Dual Showman Reverb
    Deluxe Reverb (3)
    Princeton Reverb
    Pro Reverb

    Reissues:

    Vibrolux Reverb
    Vibroverb

For blackface, the Super Reverb is the keeper. For tweed, the High-Power tweed twin is the keeper, for the blonde era it's the Twin (or a Showman) and for grab-and-go, it's the Princeton Reverb.

Everything else is gone, and other than for the sake of "collectability" they do not match up to the keepers.

For home use and recording, I really like my '65 Princeton Reverb. It makes guitars sound the way that they should.

For gigging, I don't know if I have a preference and it really depends on my volume needs. I think Deluxe Reverbs are at a good wattage/volume point for live work.

    Ha!

    How can you choose?

I like the Brown Deluxe and Silver champ. Those are the two I own.

I'd like to have a BF Vibrolux or Super Reverb.

I'd like to have Tweed Bassman, Twin, Pro or Bandmaster.

I'd love to have a Blonde Twin just to look at........sigh

    Hell I want em all............

for looks my fave is the 64 (transition - black w/ white barrel knobs and tone control instead of b/t controls iirc) princeton. would love to have one of those and a BFPR. and maybe a brown super.
