My list of favorite strap manufacturers is ... well, here's the list:

    • Some Levy straps are pretty nice.
Yeah, that's all I got. Any ideas? Is there a such thing as a boutique strap? ;):D

I also really really like this one that Hansoloist (in red) is wearing:

My current fav is a Planet Waves that I bought a few months ago at a store in Dayton. Very comfy since it has some padding on it, and goes low enough for me.

I had one that was my favorite for a really long time, but it mysteriously dissappeared along with a few of my cables. I don't remember which brand it was, but it was a wide leather strap that I had since I started playing.

Mine is an Eyeland Enterprises one that I picked up on a lark from American Music in Seattle. I bought a second one from them directly and it's nowhere near as nice.

The Fender one that came with my new Am. Strat.

I do have one of Taylors suede logo straps for my Taylor.

I keep an eye out for Franklin straps - glove-soft leather, wide, well-constructed. Exactly what I need...and currently all I use.

I bought several of the Italia straps off their e-bay auctions. They are very nice leather and well made. They were a tremendous bargin at that time, but they have since raised their prices.

    Cheers,

I have a custom strap from Gayle Winde. By far the best strap I've ever had. Her straps are slightly curved for a better ergonomic fit and it really works. They're also beautifully made. Definitely not cheap, but absolutely worth it. Here's an e-mail address for anyone who's interested: gaylewinde@yahoo.com

I have an Italia Leather boutique strap, but I actually don't like it that much. Not that it's a bad strap, just hasn't found the right guitar yet.

My favorite is a no-brand brown suede, fairly narrow, that just seems to go with everything. It was originally purchased to match a shell-pink Strat. Looked great. After that, it moved to a cherry-colored Gibson. From there, it went to an agave blue Telecaster, still looking great. Right now, it's on my Schecter, which is several layers of different-colored paints sanded through, sometimes down to bare wood. The outer layer is a sort of metallic rose pink, and the next dominant later is cream. Again, this strap looks great!

My favorites are the Levi's denim for comfort and the Levi's suede for when I want the guitar to stay put.

I have a plain El Dorado strap that's extremely comfortable, even with heavier guitars. Quality and finish are top notch and I like the fact that you can easily adjust the length with a buckle when you use straplocks. Many straps can't be adjusted unless you take the straplocks off first.

Eyeland Enterprises "Shadow" strap (same design as the one hansoloist is wearing above). Mine is Dark Brown with Brass rings. You can buy them at http://www.eyelandenterprises.com.

My favorite is the Moody strap I bought from Allison Suter herself at the 2006 Arlington Guitar Show.

My favorites are still my two Ernie Ball's from the late 70's. $10 each at the Blue Guitar. Simply perfect and completely discontinued. :(
