I like the early highway one model. Solid price, great build. It just works for me.
my bastardized '59.
Deluxe Lone Star Special.

Is this guitar made in the USA? I’m going to research it on eBay and Reverb. I’ll see if I can find any other information by using DuckDuckGo.com as my search engine.
ROTFLMAO GREAT PHOTO. Quite a few people recommended this guitar. Neither the Guitar Center or Sam Ash has one in stock 2 cities over from where I live. I’ll be patient and wait for one to arrive.
Ha thanks man! It really is a great strat! They go fast when they are in stock. The only thing I had to change was the setup. It’s a little high out of the box. Hope you get to check one out soon!
A friend of mine suggested I try out the Schector C1 SLS in antique faded burst. It has 24 stainless steel frets, ebony fretboard, s style body shape. Fishman Fluence pickups, maple/bubinga/paduak neck thru, swamp ash wings, flamed maple top. $1189.00
Zzounds and Sweetwater carry them. There are several variations available. I’m looking at the hard tail.
Mine is my '72 natural finish - still sounds great - there is nothing wrong with a good CBS strat, they have THAT sound.
Of all the options you mentioned, I would get the Suhr, because the neck is so good it's unreal.
But, if I were to get a Suhr just for the neck, then I'd rather order a neck with Suhr specs and put it on a guitar I like.
Which I did.
Xotic....or what ever Jeff Beck is playing today
Custom shop '60, NOS, fiesta red.... closely followed by a Mexi Hendrix Strat (believe it or not).
The nearest Suhr dealer is 4 hours from me. They don’t have much inventory. If I want the Pete Thorn Signature Series in Ocean Turquoise Metallic I have to special order it. I’m uneasy buying a guitar I haven’t played and not being able to return it for a refund.
What Custom Shop model is that? Beautiful looking guitar.
Thanks. It's a 2017 '63 Journeyman Relic in Faded Fiesta Red. Pickups are Custom Shop HW 60's. Really a great Strat that quickly became my #1 guitar.
I’ve got two I made that are better than any custom shop Fender I have owned or demoed. Both are one piece body and neck (one is swamp ash the other alder) which makes a huge difference. Wudtone tremolo, my pickups on one and Klein 57 on the other. 10 way switch, locking gotoh tuners and ultra thin nitro finish. Both have hefty V necks shaped by me one maple the other roasted maple.
