pure straight up distortion pedal ???
-> Boss DS-2 since over 20 years
Solo RAT & Kanji 9 right now.
I love my Bogner Burnley. Thick and chewy goodness.
Wampler Triple Wreck for the heavy stuff. Catalina Bread DLS MKIII for one notch down in gain.
Earthquaker talons and mxr dist 3
Honestly I have a Rat a DS1 and some variations a MT2... if that counts I actually like all 3 but the only distortion that doesn’t really leave my main board is my DOD BoneShaker however it’s weird cuz I use it more like an OD and use my SD1 more like a distortion.
Those are both tweaked tubescreamers. I've always liked the RAT and TS combo myself.
SUF Skinner Box (Rat clone) and WHE Geisha Drive (SD9 type).
Bearfoot egdm (germanium) through a vox ac10.
Use it anywhere from 1 oclock-cranked on the distortion and doesn't fizz out too much. Really cool cranked AC tones, and with an eq after I can tighten up for modern/metalish noises when required.
Also loved the rat2 but of course sold it when they're hard to come by in my part of the world...
The Reeza is a good pedal for sure. I've had a ton of distortion pedals and these I intend to keep for a long time - Radial Hot British, Fire Custom Shop Ultimate distortion, Big Joe stompbox Co Hard Tube 405 and a pedal that still amazes me with it's ability to produce killer hard rock and metal tones -the Digitech Hardwire TL-2. Just sayin
Custom Tones Inc. TWE-1
I was very happy with the Analogman mids-knob modded 40th Anniversary DS-1
Then I bought the Jam Pedals Rattler.
Now I am happier!
Diezel VH4. The Friedman BE-OD Deluxe was a close contender but the Diezel edged it out.
4K Dyna Red
I'm using a Wampler Sovereign on my guitar board and a Mantic Vitriol on my bass board.
Rat here. I have a slew of them.
This pedal swings both ways and it sounds good. Just sayin
