When are the new EJ strats with rosewood boards coming out?

I thought the prototype EJ was playing on the HC clips several months ago was really cool with the binding on the neck. I definitely prefered its sound over the maple board ones.

I didn't recall seeing any of them at Namm in the Fender booth, but I could be wrong.

I just got this from "Strat-O-Blogster" (gotta love the Web):

"Eric also discusses a new rosewood Eric Johnson Signature Artist Model to be introduced in January '08 (NAMM). The rosewood board is gonna be bound, and they're doing some tweaks to the pickups."

bound fingerboard? sounds interesting, im sceptical. Got any pics of a bound RW fingerboard strat?

I liked everything about the maple EJs....except the ones that I played had the stickiest lacquer that I have ever felt......sounded great though.

Class act all the way around. Johnson has tones that are downright scary...one of the top 3 in the world.
