From an article in the NY Post-

In addition, 71-year-old “Tonight Show” icon Jay Leno was recently announced for the role of Ed Sullivan, who hosted the band during their first live appearance on US television in 1964 on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

Sugarland said Leno’s “own experience as an American television host will bring forward a natural and accurate portrayal and add an incredible element of modern showbiz to the story.”

And in a bit of TGP irony:

Leo Harvey-Elledge previously portrayed Liam Gallagher in “Creation Stories.” He was cast as George Harrison in “Midas Man.”

And the guy doing the facepalm in the previous photo...that's George Martin.

These are not stills from the film. They are first look photographs, made (at Abbey Road) to introduce the cast to the world. I would not be surprised if the Orange Music Electronic Company Ltd had paid to have an amp in the photographs.

This thread is the perfect example of how misinformation spreads like wildfire while facts are ignored even if they are there for everyone to see.

I agree, but never rely on filmdom for gear authenticity.

Looking forward to seeing John jerking out “867-5309” on the rooftop in a Cleveland Browns sweatshirt, with his iconic flametop Harley Benton semi-hollow with clip-on headstock tuner.
