These are not stills from the film. They are first look photographs, made (at Abbey Road) to introduce the cast to the world. I would not be surprised if the Orange Music Electronic Company Ltd had paid to have an amp in the photographs.

Production design and the need for drama will often trump authenticity. It’s not always a bad compromise as long as it doesn’t break suspension of disbelief.

Sometimes they try to get it right with disastrous results, like when Kurt Russel smashed a 150-year-old Martin.
