Check out Michael Landau’s album “Rock Bottom”. It’s a refreshing, unique, beautiful take on the slow blues vibe.

I agree with a lot of the names mentioned so far! (Haven't seen all the names so these may have been mentioned).

I would add...

Ronnie Earl - check Ronnie out. He's got a lot more than just this one example.
Roy Buchannan - The Messiah Will Come Again
Jimmy Page "Tea For One" - Led Zeppelin Presence

Peter Green, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, BB King, gosh so many, and up and coming mention goes to Chris Buck has an interesting slant on it. Gilmour although not strictly in the genre I guess has a really nice style well rooted in slow blues.

For slow blues covers together with emotive vocal 'feel', these are among my favourites.

Peter Green with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers

Peter Green with Rod Stewart, Jack Bruce and Aynsley Dunbar on this one

Peter Green's own composition with Fleetwood Mac

Ronnie Earl is awesome! I always thought he isn't mainstream solely because of his lack of vocals.
