I have been using various small PA's to amplify my acoustic guitar. Until recently I have been plugging the guitar with a soundhole pickup straight into the PA mixer/amp and it has worked fine. However, recently I've acquired a pedal I like that has the option for amp level or line level outputs. Would the PA's perform better if I use the line level out to plug into the mixer? Thanks for the help.

IMO, there's too many variables to give you a yes or no answer.
Using instrument level will require you to go into the mic preamp of the mixer.
Inexpensive mixers often have the "line in" just have a 40-60 db pad on the input so you don't overdrive the channel, but still use the gain pot.
Using a pedal with some kind of line amp built in will boost the signal to line level, but how clean is the line amp in the pedal and how is the line amp getting power?
Try it both ways and see what works best for you.
