There's always been a rackmount model, how soon do you think we'll see it?

Maybe 3Q this year I hope.
I hope it comes with a new firmware update too... and I'd love to have the possibility to load external IR cab sim (Redwirez, Ownhammer)... now THAT would be great.

    maybe by winter NAMM?

    my wishlist:

DUAL processors for twice the power of HD500

nice big TOUCH screen like the Korg synths have

lots of KNOBS on the front panel for the gain/tone/volume/etc

    more amp models

    $999 price point ;)

That would be seriously cool. Although, I'm actually pretty happy with the stock cabs. But hey, better is, well...better! :)

Dual processors would be great! I think that the DSP limit is really the only real problem I've had. Not that it's a huge problem or anything, it just forces me to re-think a little.

I could certainly live without a touch screen on the unit. My guess that it would only be a 2 rack space and I don't really know how well a touch screen would work with that size. I would, however, love to see a version HD Edit for the iPad though.

It would be really cool if it had two rows of amp knobs (one for each possible amp...).

I can live without additional amp models but, more is more so, I welcome them.

I'm an Axe guy & will probably remain one... but I would definately buy one of these as a backup rig if Line6 made it

I'm in the quest for a digital preamp and I'm still not sure about wich one should I get: the 11R or the POD HD... only for home recording and for running direct, no SS or tube poweramp, no guitar cab, etc.

BUT, since I'm not in a rush, I'll wait until Line6 comes with the rackmonuted version of the POD HD... even if it's more expensive than the 11R, if I can load external IRs cab sims and the improve even more their modelling with more firmware upgrades (specially the "3D depth" feel of the amps) then I'll get one.

I don't care fot the touchscreen, I just want a nice and quick way to change parameters without having to go into menus, etc... more like the 11R that seems perfect for quick and easy changes.

SO, please L6, make a full-featured 2U rackmounted POD HD that meets the pro needs and gives all this good stuff to the rest of customers.

But 3 units is 50% more power isn't it?

Why would that matter in a rack?

Once you find a Redwirez or other IR that works better (or rather more like what you are after) than the stock ones... then user IR rules. Wait till / if you get it as an option. Then report back.

I totally agree. I just know I can't afford an axe (which would let me use them) so I'm really trying to be content with what I have. :)
