Where in your signal chain do you put your noisegate

    Where in the signal chain do you put your noise gate? I currently have it last and dont like it there......

    Mine is in the effects loop of the amp, after the EQ and before all time/modulation effects.

    Hmm......maybe I should have stated with an amp without effects loop........

    When I used to use mine in ran it after my drives and before mods and delays

    In an amp with a loop I'd definitely run it after the preamp section, but before the modulation effects. In front of an amp I'd run it after the OD/Dists, but before the modulation and delays. After a delay or reverb it can kill the tails.

    Or, you can start with a good amp and axe. Then you won't need one. A little hiss is good for the soul.
