    Hey guys,

Would you kindly recommend some places where I can buy some metal box for my diy effects project?

    Thanks!

smallbear has the real good hammond boxes for 7-10 bucks

If you have a Radio Shack near you get their aluminum enclosure. I've used a bunch of them for my pedals.

small bear and mouser are great.

also take a look at www.pedalpartsplus.com

they don't have a ton of components but what they have is very well priced and they offer enclosures that've already been powerder coated. and they're usually really on top of orders and have great customer service. cheapest 3pdt switches around too.

Yep, they'll take care of you. Plus you can get your enclosures in just about any color imagineable. They do all of our custom ship pedals for us. Both powdercoating and screen printing.

I've seen them at Frye's Electronics, if you have one locally.

Another +1 for Kirk and Connie at Pedal Parts Plus. Service is tops, and the painted enclosures are just art.
