    Hi ,

I am looking for a special maple neck for a tele-parts-caster being built for me by a friend. I told him I wanted to pick out the neck. Other than Warmoth (are these any good?) What are my options for purchasing a tele neck?

All I know is that I like maple boards on my fender type guitars.

Quilted Maple, Quartersawn maple, maple cap..etc any suggestions here?

    I will be using 10's or 11's ..

Thanks for any and all help/suggestions.

I got a Stew-Mac neck that is absolutely indistinguishable from the one on my real '57 Tele.

I found a Parts-o-Tele that someone had tried and given up on at a local music store. Got over $1,000 worth of parts for $300. It included an Allparts Tele Fat neck - just a huge freakin' baseball bat of a neck. It was perfect - there was plenty of wood, so I could take it to a buddy who reshaped it how I wanted it. I happen to like big necks, so I didn't have him take a lot off but it was great getting it exactly right...

^^ One of my partscasters has that neck and it's definitely a fatty.

I have an All Parts on another and a Hefner on a third one. No problems with any of them.

I like Allparts TMNF-Fat necks, if a fat profile is your thing. I also have a TRF-22 if rosewood, 22 frets and a modern 12" radius is more to your liking. Love them both.
