A friend is going to spray a body & neck for me, and I'm going for a Fender white blonde finish (over ash). Is there someplace to buy it premixed by the pint (not reranch aerosol cans). Thanks.

    Greg -

I've looked EVERYWHERE and posted the same question on most every forum and found nothing available in pints - except clear. So I use the cans for color (from Reranch) and use a gun and Deft clear lacquer from Home Depot

Even guys like Mark Jenny - who paint professionally - use Reranch.

If you decent technique , it actually goes on really nicely

Thanks Dan...I guess that's the only option. Appreciate the response.

Try Stew-Mac. They've got Behlens. There are also several other companies around the country that blend and sell nitro. Where are ya?

Yeah - Stew mac sells Behlens CLEAR Lacquer and a bunch of primary type color pigments ( bright red, blue, green, yellow ,etc) if you wanna experiment w/ colors but they dont sell "Dakota Red" or "Sonic Blue" for instance

    Premixed for fender white blonde?

    Vince...I'm in the Dallas area.

My painter buddy's not comfortable with mixing it himself...in my mind just splash a little oly white into some clear nitro (1:10) and have a squirt! But I'm obviously clueless. :)

I think S-W discontinued selling nitro lacquers years ago. I do go there for my lacquer thinner, though.:AOK

Actually, I know that Lawrence-McFadden sell piano black and probably opaque white, which is the base for any pastel color, ie: just about any Fender opaque finish. Just get the Stew-Mac Colortone pigments or Behlen's Master colors to tone and adjust colors. Not that hard if you've got an eye! ;)

I appreciate the responses, but sometimes I'm amazed at how often a response is given without even reading the initial question. ;)
