Sticking with the front page theme :D

The wife has GIA classes in Dallas next Mon and Tues, we will be there Sun-Weds.

What's some good places to eat around the Galleria area? We are staying at the Le Meredien.

    Thanks in advance :)

ohmylanta that place is the best food I've ever had. You get to cook your own food at your table. about $50 a person but you get hooked up with 3 courses.

Damn it was delicious, been twice.

Been several years since I was in Dallas but Fearing's (in the Ritz) and Abacus were both very good.

    Canne Rosso for Pizza
Maple and Motor for insane burgers

Edit - Oh sorry - I don't know the areas of Dallas well enough to know how close these are to where you will be.

There is always Houstons in Addison but I would head south to Mia's for the best Mexican food in town or Celebration Restaurant for home cooking. I second Maple & Motor for burgers. Royal Thai for Thai food.

Did the Blue Goose bite the dust? They had the Tex Mex down...

Not near the Galleria, but the food at Lucia is excellent. You won't be able to get a reservation, but it is worth showing up in case they have a cancellation or if you can snag a seat at the bar. If not, there is plenty to do food and drink wise in the Bishop Arts District.

You have to have barbecue and if you're going to have barbecue, you might as well do it right.

Near the galleria... hmm Ten50 is close by and is great openpit bbq. Pecan lodge is amazing, but a little out of the way. Gloria's is good tex-mex fusion- very close to the galleria. There's some extremely expensive steakhouses/Indian cuisine/Asian stuff just a few blocks north. DFW is a big metroplex and there's amazing food everywhere- I'd just yelp/urbanspoon your area. Have fun!

If you're in the West end district - The Palm has great food and great service. But beware, or be aware, of the prices. You can easily spend $300 on dinner for two if you have appetizers, salad, entree, and a couple of drinks. It's beyond pricey...

True that! Closer to the Galleria is Uncle Julio's...they too have great Tex Mex and super fajitas...

Kobe Steaks is also very close to the Galleria in Addison.

Desperados - the best Mexican food one can get for how inexpensive it is
(desperado tacos, fajitas and enchiladas are excellent)

Melting Pot & Trulucks - 2 best places I've been to in Dallas (expensive)

Just north of the galleria, you've got Coal Vines for some great high-falutin' pizza.

A little farther north on the tollway, you'll find Whiskey Cake. Amazing.

Blue Goose is nearby, and is reasonably good tex-mex.

I work about 15 minutes from The Galleria, so I can provide more info if needed.

Craig, head up the Tollway a few mins and have lunch with me at Cantina Laredo. I think you'd prefer it to Gloria's and Blue Goose (or maybe that's just me).
