I have an '80s Guild that needs a back plate cover for the Floyd Rose route. This is not a standard sized cover so need someone who will size according to the measurements I give.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Virgil probably has other plates to twirl right now. Just a guess.....

any competent shop can knock out the plate for you and the best fit will be done with the guitar in hand. If you don't have a shop nearby, which I would be surprised by, seeing that you're in NJ, the plate can be done mail order. I do a few custom plates by mail every year.

Thanks. There are lots of shops in NJ. It's the "competent" part of the equation that's the problem. :)

That's just the cover for a Floyd; get a piece of pickguard material and cut out a rectangle of it...

Can you find a cover plate from another Floyd Rose equipped guitar on eBay?

I have 40 guitars and many have Floyds. This one is a unique size.

What's going on at WD? I've had them make a couple custom picguards for me. Worked out very well.

I regularly make custom pickguards, cover plates, jack plates, etc. As long as you can provide me with the dimensions you need, I can make it. Drop me an email.

Ft. Myers had some inclement weather recently... i.e. Hurricane Irma hit them directly. Last I heard (earlier in the week) WD still didn't have electricity.

It looks like you're really desperate to not have a local shop make this plate for you. I'd do it for about $16. including postage.
