My son...but he will not care about them other than what they are worth

Maybe there's a way to get them buried with me

If I die of old age then I hope to have given them away first.

If I spontaneously combust before old age then my nieces & nephew.

I told my wife to sell any of mine that she doesn't want to keep for our kids. I keep a spreadsheet for her with ballpark prices.

Another spreadsheet keeper here so they don't get ripped off too badly. CL or consignment probably.

I have five kids, and none of them are interested in investing themselves to learn to play an instrument.
So......I have eight grandchildren (7 boys, 1 girl) and I have decided the each grandchild gets a guitar, with the picking starting with the oldest and going to the youngest.

Here’s what they have to choose from:

This strategy also serves the purpose of putting a gate on the number of guitars that I own. Currently have 9, so I don’t know what will happen to the extra guitar. I told my kids that if the need to sell a guitar, they are to contact the owner of a local guitar store for assistance. I’ve also informed the store owner that my kids may approach him for help at some point.

It may not be that long as I have heart disease and have had several surgeries in the last five years and my current mortality estimates are 50% in five years.

    That’s the plan.

My kids (3 and 5) are already claiming the guitars they get when they grow up... Not thinking they're thinking of when I take the big dirt nap... but they're spoken from already.

    My Daughter.

Along with my guitars will be a note with the prices I paid, and their relatively current market value (within 5 years).

My 1st hope is that she get's into playing guitar herself and wants to at least keep a couple of them to play herself and cherish.

But she's only 2 years old, so it's likely she'll never get into it. In that event, I just want her to know how to get top $$$ for all of it, and use the money wisely.

One to my wife for sentimental purposes, likely to hang on the wall. One to the fella who built all of them, one to an old friend, the other two go to my friend who owns a local recording studio. He also gets my amp and pedals.

    Idk I don’t really care.

But interesting fact: one famous guitar no one can own is EVH’s black Frankenstein Strat I believe pictured in Van Halen II..? I think...
But anyway that guitar is now buried with Dime Bag Darrel. A gift from Eddie after his Death.
