I have 4 different pedalboards, 2 big and 2 small. I decided I need 2 small pedals that fit easily into the pouch of my guitar case when I don't want to travel with any pedalboard. Question 1: What type of pedals would you choose? Question 2: What specific pedals would you choose? For me it's Overdrive and Delay (wah would be my third choice, but it's too big anyway). The 2 small pedals I've chosen to carry around which for me would cover a lot of ground tonally are Eternity (Box of Rock was a close second, especially since it had the added boost) and Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay...both are a. small and b. amazing pedals

id be more tempted to make sure my amp had overdrive.

and then use a fuzz and delay

Good thought...I mainly play out of old Fender clean amps, so I need a good overdrive pedal to drive the amp.

    Gaspedals Carb
    into
BJF Honeybee if bluesy gig or BJF EGDM if more rocky gig...

Carb for clean boost, Honeybee for sweet rhythm OD (and med OD with 335-type guitar),
EGDM for Voxy chime color/built in compression.

Carb and HB together to make the bee a little less congested and really sing.

If I had to limit myself to small, grab-and-go pedals it would be Dirt & Delay.Probably, my old ProCo Rat and Analogman ar20dl Delay

My "gee, this bar isn't in that great of a neighborhood" pedalboard was a Boss SD-1 and a TS-9. Set the TS9 as a booster, the SD-1 to full gain, lots of tone potential. Pretty sure I paid $100 or less for both used. Probably closer to $75.

This is my grab n' go board:

The Silver Kiss Mk.2 is the most versatile OD I have since the EQ is so flexible, and the CoT50 Red brings the rock. Ideally, I'd have a delay on there but they eat batteries so quickly as to not be practical.

Exactly! You do what I'd recommend. You beat me to it. Maybe AR2DL delay on a budget. I might also use the Menatone Workingman's blue as my only OD.

I'd choose an OCD and the Korg DT-10 Tuner.. there's nothing worse than a guitar out of tune^^

Depending on the amp and assuming you had a separate handheld tuner, I'd choose either

Parametric EQ (if you can find one) + whatever flavor of amp-like OD you're into...BB, Zendrive, Blackstone, etc.

    or

    Treble Booster + Fuzz.

at the moment it would be Gaspedals dumbbell and either my dm2 or pds 20/20.
my "grab n go " board right now is actually 4 pedals:
    fuzz factory>dumbbell>dm2>pds 20/20

    hotcake-->analogman delay
(although I have neither right now, but that would be a nice little package to put in front of my hayseed's top boost channel.)
