I am currently running my new XTC 101B with my stock Marshall cab with G12T-75s. It sounds pretty good, but I think I can do better. Which speakers are you guys using with your 101Bs?

    Thanks!

G12T100's I know they're cheap but they've got all the quality of the T75 but with more bass a touch more mids and a smoother high end.

Definatly the best new speaker celestion has at the moment Im a huge fan of this speaker.

You can't go wrong with V30's with an Ecstasy or a mixture of V30's & H30's or GB's.

:agree IIRC, the XTC was voiced around V30's. I run a mix of V30's & CL80's and it kills.

I run my Ecstasy Classic through a Bogner 412 straight cab with V30's.
    Killing would be the word.

No, but I like the way you think. :AOK

I've actually been curious about how two Golds might sound mixed with the G12H's in my Bogner 412. So far, the G12H's have been my favorite, I like them MUCH better than the V30's with my Ecstacy Classic.

My fave is to run it with my Marshall 4x12 with greenbacks in the top two slots and V30's in the bottom.

V30's and G12h 30's in an X pattern are a great combo in this cab.

Honestly, (and I"m the biggest hater of these around) the V30's sound great with the XTC. To my ear, it's a perfect match.

I think the XTC sounds great when run through G12T-75's. Very "Marshally" with the high-end bite and "kerang!".
I eventually put in a pair of V30's mixed with the 75s and it's a great tone. But you could do a lot worse than a standard 1960A

Orange PPC 4x12 best base response and best overall cab I ever used.
Put this is just a matter of opinion. Use V30s.

    Couple of faves.

The Ecstasy sounds amazing thru the Uber cab:

The combination of V30's and and GT75's really works with the Ecstasy's voicing.

I also really like it with my old Celestion G12-65's.

    I hope this helps.
