My wife is a hardcore Foo Fighters fan, which is fine by me, but she loves them way more than I ever will. The good news is that she's always up for a live show, and they're killer live.

right now, i'm convinced she's going to burn a hole in the Adele CD...

before that, it was the entire Michael Buble back catalog.

and EVERY damn year, it's Christmas music (of all variety!) from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas day!

but...she's also into a lot of stuff i'm also into - older stuff - and she's also turned me onto quite a bit of stuff i missed the first time around. maybe i'm the one with weird tastes...

It could be a LOT worse, Adele and Buble are great. You my friend got off easy....I NEGOTIATED with my GF and we agreed on "October 1st" as to when she can start listening to damn Christmas music...so consider yourself lucky.

He also has some of the sappiest, most cheese-tastic songs of the last decade. His whole laid back, neo-hippy vibe turns me off. Good voice, but an intolerable package.

I dated a girl for a long time...who LOVED Brittany Spears....freaking absolutely in love with her.....was biggest fan of hers i'd ever seen.

aside from that she liked everything from Garth Brooks, Eagles, Journey, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, John Mayer, Mellencamp, Prince, Boston,....damn good music....but man Brittany was horrible, she'd get in a funk and it'd be 100% brittany all the time for a few days....ugh.

My wife isn't really into music much. So I just have to put with no music a lot of the time. She doesn't hate music, but prefers silence as far as car radio goes. She doesn't discourage my playing a all, though, and is pretty good about my guitar buying habit, so I'm happy.

One guy a know went out with a girl who listened to Dave Matthews compulsively, even when they were on a date she had her ipod going. He got out of there pretty fast. He didn't hate Dave Matthews, but she was just weird about it.

Let me explain. I don't dislike MJ at all and really think he revolutionized pop music to a degree, and has some fantastic songs. But, she is a HUGE fan (not crazy Asian girl passing out huge) to the point where she will cry at least once on the day of the anniversary of his death and his birthday. Weird? Maybe a little. She has always really related to his lack of a childhood and grew up listening to his music. I guess it's the only real good memory she has of her childhood.

Either way, I have to put up with all of his "not-so-good" songs sprinkled in with the good stuff as well as the "semi-crazy fan" thing. I guess it could be worse (i.e. Shinedown *shutters*)
