Which Blackstar = Modded JCM800

    Started looking on the Blackstar site and they have about 50 amps listed. Looking for a JCM800 sound in a 25-50w 1x12 combo in the Blackstar line.

    Love my Club 40. The OD channels are kind of a cross between a Marshall and a Mesa. Nice.

    If manufacturers really knew where their stuff sat, we wouldn't need this forum :p

    Blackstar was started by former Marshall employees. That said, I haven't really heard one that makes me think "modded 800" otherwise, I'd definitely own it! :) They seem to have a voice all their own. The ISF knob that is on a lot of them gives a very wide range of tones. Someone previously mentioned them being a cross between Marshall and Mesa, that's fairly accurate.
