Of the ones I've tried, I had thought that the DBA Soundwave Breakdown had it - and no question that it can hold a full-bodied, creamy textured note for a long time. But I just tried a Soda Meiser, and though it lacks a little in the tonal fullness department, it can really zero in on those tail end string vibrations and it sustains a good few seconds longer than the DBA... amazing stuff.

    What's your strum-a-chord-leave-the-guitar-on-its-stand-and-go-have-a-pint fuzz?

EDIT: I was initially thinking of fuzzes that can 'go long' without the help of acoustic feedback from the amp (think small pub/coffee-shop gig / recording at home). But others might be interested in fuzz that can go to infinity and beyond (and still stay smooth) with the help of the amp - so, whichever.

This. Either my '75 Rams Head or my '92 Civil War Muff. You can't beat a good Muff for sustain.

the Blackout Musket is a tweakable Muff that can have pretty much endless sustain (if you set it up right).

also, Buzzaround variants (i have an awesome one built by Ghost Effects) are amazing for this.

Came for the muff. My Caprid will sing. If I use my compressor, forget about it.

Lies. Nothing has sustain but metal distortions. Nearly every pedal is their brand of overdrive, not metal, not fuzz.
