    Hi guys,
i'm looking for a fuzz that will give me THE tone...
looking for Tony Iommi (early Sabbath) to Frusciante (last RHCP album) sounds.
    My amp is JTM45.
    Thanks!

I think a decent Big Muff or clone/variant will get you there. No, Iommi didn't use a muff or a fuzz even (people will most certainly point that out so I'll get it out early), but you should be able to get into his tonal territory with a big muff.

I know Frusciante used a Mosrite Fuzzrite and an EH English Muff'n during Stadium Arcadium. Either of those or a big muff pedal.

There are so many great reissues and clones that I wouldn't get involved in buying a vintage muff.

If I wanted something straight off the shelf for myself, I'd probably start with the Big Muff w/ Tone Wicker. It's been reviewed very nicely, appears to have a variety of tones on tap and can be tried out/bought at most music stores.
