I've done a search but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Does anyone have experience with the Lunar Module (or any good fuzzes for that matter) specifically with humbucker pickups? If so, how is it with HBs?

Ya know I used to be one of those guys that said fuzz is much better with single coils but the truth is I have changed my mind...it really doesn't matter, it's all about what you prefer. I do think it takes a little more work wiht buckers because things can get out of hand quickly but if you work at it you can make it happen.

I really love the sound of my AM Modded Arbiter Fuzz Face with my R8...very much a Cream era Clapton tone. My Fulltone Ultimate Octave is cool with that guitar as well...

Just work at it and you'll be fine.

It really depends on your whole rig. Change one part, and the fuzz will sound totally different. With that in mind, I say D*A*M 1966.

Silicon fuzzes seem to work better than Germanium fuzzes. I had an MJM London Fuzz II that sounded great with humbuckers.

Big Muff for sure. Not certain if that can be called a pure fuzz, but it kills with buckers.

my MJM London and MFZ sound great with HB's or SC's
but I found that the volume control with HB's is far
more subtle ... could be the potis in my Teles ...
have to check that out

Tonebender and Treblebooster type pedals seem to work better with HBs for me.Fuzz Face, not so much,or maybe it's that they sound so much better with SCs.

Well I don't tend to like anything too mid heavy with humbuckers so I prefer a scooped fuzz sound. The Mayo sounds great with humbuckers (even with the mids up for solos) and I also want to try a Lunar Module. I've had other fuzz faces and thought they sounded too thin even with humbuckers but maybe that's just me.

Tonebender MKII's sound great with humbuckers.

I dig my Sunlion with humbuckers as well.

I have heard my Mayo against the another TGP'ers Lunar. The Lunar has the same sonic footprint of the Mayo except it's clearer sounding to my ear. I think it sounds clearer because it is silicon based. They're the same yet different enough that I can justify owning both.

Keeley Fuzz Head never gets overbearing with hummers, think zz top rather than disralei gears.

The lunar works fine with humbuckers. I thought it was just as nice on humbuckers or singles - unlike Fuzz Faces which I find tend to be pushed too hard by humbuckers = not so sweet.

Oh, the skreddy screwdriver is also very fine with humbuckers.
