I just wanna some help to purchase my new guitar. I've around 1000$ and want invest the right money at right guitar. I play all kind of music : metal, classic rock, Satriani, Steve Vai,.... And I'm looking for a both floyd or non floyd, I already play an Ibanez Prestige, Epiphone... but never played a PRS, Music man,and don't know their floyd system.
I need a thin neck, not much shredder but neck I can do some solo on it.
Thank for all your suggestion hope to get some helps here.

A black one.

Or go to Steve's and Long and McQuade and spend hours trying them all. If you are asking what I'd buy for $1000 I can tell you. If you are asking what I think you should buy for $1000, that's like asking what color and style shirt I think you should wear.

I'd buy a Fender John 5 Signature Telecaster.

I Have a Fantasic USA Gibson Flying V. You would have change left over . The guitar KILLS for the types of music you describe. PM me for more details.

Sounds like an EBMM Petrucci is right up your alley. Really nice feeling, thin neck, quality pups/electronics, and one of the greatest trems ever made. You can find them used for about $1k (that's what I put mine up for when I tried to sell it last year).

SG Classic. Two P90's, bound fretboard. Almost perfect (I just wish it had a wraparound tailpiece instead of a TOM and a Stoptail).
