Im talking a slower version, it has more interesting fills in the intro. I heard it recently again by a guy demo-ing a strat and thought i had saved it to favourites but no! and i cant find it again!

    Any ideas guys?

Don't know if that's the one you're talking about, but Roy Buchanan's take from "Live in Japan" is just killer :

Nope not that one. Definitely a Jimi version. It follows the same groove but is slightly different with nice melodic flurries...

Prolly not the one you're referring to, but a cool version nonetheless.....

Are you thinking of Body Count's version off the Stone Free tribute album???

I really dig The Cure's version of Purple Haze off that same album.

It's the one on "West Coast Seattle Boy" the anthology album. It's either the first one or the 20th track that goes into Sunshine of Your Love.

I have the original Polydor 45 of Hey Joe purchased over in Germany 1967.

No way to fire it up at the moment.

Some of the parts are different from the U.S. release from what I remember.

Listen to The Music Machine's version sometime. Talk about moody and dynamic.

I thought that was a really good mix of bands- I didn't like the song Belly had on the radio but I thought they did a good job on 'Are You Experienced?'.

Jeff Beck & Seal- Manic Depression was pretty dang good, too.

It's definitely not Love's take on "Hey Joe".

Their version is like a 60s guitars garage punk take at 150 MPH.

It is a cool take on the tune though.
