I was going to get a dl4 but the deal didn't go down so I have to find a looper quick. We have one song where I will need a E major drone and dropped down an octave. Will the cheap boss looper get me there or should I continue looking for another DL4

Well the way the DL4 does it is by playing half speed. So, you either need another pedal that does that (I don't think the boss looper does), or grab an octave pedal to stack in front of it and do it that way.

the dl4 does it and does it quickly. (loop, a click or two and you're done).

almost kept mine just for that.

And then make the loop go backwards for an even cooler sound.

    Smaktus,
Way ahead of you on this as it is kind of a psychedelic kind of tune
