Which patch cables?

I have a TON of those expensive Mogami 6" patch cables, but they're a bit bulky for what I'm trying to do now. What do you "neat pedalboard" guys use for your patches? 'Cause I need them :messedup

I personally use George L's solder free, but they aren't the most reliable. Have had a few bug out on me.

The Mogami patches that you bought are more than likely built up w/ Mogami 2524 cable. I prefer to use the Mogami 2319 cable, it's smaller in diameter and are made for pedalboard use whereas the 2524 is for instrument cable use.

How many do you need? I use the GLS pancake plugs with Mogami 2319 cable. If you don't need many just make your own or have someone on the forum make you some.

Most of the love you'll see here is the Mini ELC kits by Lava Cable, and for good reason too. There are some who use more expensive boutique patch cables, and some who use George L's, but I'm pretty sure you'll see Lava kits on the majority of boards (here on TGP.)

I personally use a mix of hosa patch cables with pancake ends which allow for tight pedal spacing, and george l's. I have an excellently strong signal even with 8 pedals going right into the front of my amps.

I use the Planet Waves cable station. Easy to make the cables and you cut them to your desired length. They're a little bit bulky but they work really great. Zero loss of tone and good quality hardware.

Just wired my board up with the GLS kit, time I'll have to see how long they last but for $25 I'm very happy!
