I'm really interested in the Dawner Prince Viberator but I haven't heard much about it as to how it compares to the Drybell or other vibes.

I do not really need a deep Trower/ Hendrix throbby vocal sound as much as I want another color of more moderate swirl. Who knows, I might even prefer the Vibrato modes for all I know.

So, has anyone here tried the Viberator?
    Your thoughts?
    Pros and cons ?
    Suggested alternatives?

    Thanks,

    -bEn r.

If you want a subtle Univibe-like effect, I'd highly recommend an old script MXR Phase 45 or even the newer MXR Univibe.

I've never tried (nor heard of, until now) the Viberator, but have owned several vibe pedals and the Black Cat Vibe is easily my favorite, particularly at lower settings. While it sounds great for Trower and Hendrix into a distorted amp, what I like about the Black Cat Vibe is how nice it sounds into a spanky clean amp to add "body" and character in a jazz context. Here's a short recording I posted a couple days ago, raw and uncompressed:

    Thanks for the replies.

I also asked over in the other vibe thread because this one seemed to have scrolled off into oblivion for awhile.

I have both the 74 phase 90 and the Vibe Machine.... I love both of them. The phase 90 is subtle and lush.... The VibeMachine is more deeply voiced but also lush. Now I want a Hartman Analog Flanger... Is that too redundant?

The Aquavibe is both beautiful, and with the depth and center controls, offers you a ton of different tones, qualities.

For a small enclosure, Vibe Machine and Lovepedal Vibronaut are both excellent IMO. I went with the Vibronaut for my needs, but VM is excellent.
