I'm compiling my list for Warmoth (or Musikraft) and want a darker one piece neck.
I know rosewood is kinda heavy, but I've only played that solid rosewood George Harrison type tele which I know is heavy.
Wheareas I will have a alder body with a solid dark wood neck.

Would rosewood matter in reference to weight when it comes to just the neck itself being heavier? Would it be kinda top heavy or unbalanced overall?
What about Pau Ferro? Is it lighter in weight than rosewood?
Is there another dark wood for a neck that Warmoth or Musikraft sells that is lighter in weight than rosewood or Pau Ferro?
    Thanx

That could be a very expensive experiment... Before you do that:

Make sure you have a traditional maple/rosewood neck first. I do NOT recommend starting a build with a completely unknown quantity like an all-rosewood neck.

What are you looking for specifically that you feel you would get from this neck?

The question I'm asking is about weight?
Is an all rosewood (one piece) neck heavy? Or much heavier than maple?
Is Pau Ferro lighter than Rosewood?

    Thanx

Wood varies but most Rosewood necks ( solid ) would be heavier than a maple neck of the same size maybe by 20 to 40%.
